帝国法では定められた人間だけが刑を執行できるとされていた。自分は、その法定処刑人だ。だが、何か特別な人間というわけではない。どこにでもいる、ただの人間だ。
Only those allowed by Imperial Law could carry out sentences. I was one of those people, but that doesn't make me special. I'm just an average guy.
[この斧は処刑用だ]バルマンテ [Axe for Executions] Balmaint
この斧は罪人の首を一瞬で切り落とすためにある。戦闘でダメージを与え、戦闘力を奪うための斧とは違う。同じ斧でも、造りも使う技術も異なるというわけだ。
This axe is for lopping off heads in one fell swoop. It's different from a battle axe that deals damage and takes you down in combat. Both are axes, but they are made and used very differently.

シグフレイよ、お前は神だったのか。それとも単なる操り人形なのか。アーサーよ、お前は何を望むのだ！俺はただの処刑人だ。過去の因果を断ち切る為に、ただ斧を振り下ろす。今が、その時だ！
Sigfrei, were you a god? Or were you just a puppet? And Arthur, what do you want?! I'm only an executioner. I just swing my axe to sever the chains of fate. Now is the time!
[演じてみせよう処刑人]バルマンテ [Playing the Executioner] Balmaint
処刑台の上では、罪人が主役。その最後の瞬間を引き立てるのが俺の役割だ。だが、今日は処刑人が主役のようだ。精一杯演じてみせようではないか。
On the executioner's stand, the criminal is the protagonist. My role is to support that final moment. But today, the protagonist is an executioner, so I'll play it as best I can.
